Visiting card, holder and copper printing plate for Thomas Pickford Smith, Surgeon & Accoucheur (Gynaecologist) etc. of 31 Brick Lane Spitalfields. He is listed at that address between 1844 and 1850 but died in 1849. 31 Brick Lane was on the corner of Heneage Street and was later renumbered 64. It has lost its upper storey (bomb damage?) and has now been rebuilt.
