Only a single design is known. This design has been found in two metals: Bronze and Silver. The first year medal is presumably bronze. The silver/silvered medal is known for the 3rd, 5th, and 6th years. Curiously there is also a bronze 7th year specimen known for the, presumably, final year - 1903.

An educated guess, based on limited data, and on schemes in other areas, is that the first two years are in bronze. Later years are in silver, or silver coloured. The scheme was terminated in 1903, but some medals for 1903 were issued in bronze, as there was a shortage of silver medals in stock.
