Series 3

This series is very similar to Series 2 (1880 to 1885) with the addition of a place for the signature of the Principal Teacher.

Standard I

Brown  on white background. Arched scene within picture frame border. Young boys in top corners. Boy reading a book in bottom left corner, a girl doing needlework  in bottom right corner. School Board monogram at centre bottom. Inscription within arch.

Standard II

Green  and beige  on white  background. Arched  scene within  picture frame border. Young boys in top corners.  Boy  reading  a  book  in  bottom  left corner, girl doing needlework in bottom right corner. School Board monogram at centre bottom. Inscription within arch.

Standard III

Brown on light background. Tall  classical  arch  with  side  arches.  Girl reading a book, within  left side-arch,  boy holding  a slate  within right side-arch. Inscription within square area within arch.

Standard IV

Brown on light background.  Tall  classical  arch  with  side-arches.  Girl reading a book, within  left side-arch,  boy holding  a slate  within right side-arch. Inscription within square within arch.

Standard V

Brown yellow and grey on a white background. Greek arch with alcoves either side. A frieze above  with scene  of teachers  teaching various  subjects to children. Head of Athena? at top of arch, with owl below. Bust of Milton in top  left alcove, bust of Cook in bottom left alcove. Bust of Newton in top right alcove, bust of Watt in bottom right alcove.

Standard VI

Brown yellow and grey on a white background. Greek arch with alcoves either side. A frieze  above with scene  of teachers teaching  various subjects to children. Head of Athena? at top of arch, with owl below. Bust of Milton in top  left alcove, bust of Cook in bottom left alcove, Bust of Newton in top right alcove and bust of Watt in bottom right alcove. 

Standard VI plus additional subjects

Red  and gold on a white background.  Two female Greek figures supporting a portico. Greek head, lyre and book within portico, vases above. Inscription in rectangular area between figures.
