Based in the Fitzwilliam Museum Department of Archaeology in Cambridge, Andrew is a PhD candidate working on the economy and political authority of the Viking Age in Ireland. Andrew's research, focuses on the late phases of the "Hiberno-Norse" coinage (C.1050-1170), and what they can inform us about economy, society and politics in the eleventh and twelfth centuries. A graduate of Bristol and St. Andrews Universities, Andrew also plays a voluntary role with the Portable Antiquities Scheme in Suffolk.
