03/10/2011 An Introduction into the Viking Coinage of York Megan Gooch

Megan grew up in Essex, and studied Archaeology at Cambridge University, and Mediaeval History at Durham University. Because of her love of Anglo-Saxon England, she has started her PhD on Viking Coinage. However, since working at the London auctioneers Spinks, and in the British Museum's Department of Coins and Medals, she admits that other areas of numismatics too have their merits. More recently, Megan has been working on a project to develop an exhibition on the history of the Mint at the Tower of London. Megan, is a World Class speaker. She will be travelling from her home in London tonight, so please give her the support she deserves by attending this fascinating lecture. Why not bring a relative or a friend too?
