06/06/2011 Rationalisation or vandalism - (The work of the Websters on the Royal Mint Collection in the 1870's). Graham P Dyer OBE

Graham Dyer joined the Royal Mint in 1961, and was appointed Librarian and Curator during the Summer of 1963. Graham has enjoyed a wide and varied numismatic career, being Director of the British Numismatic Society between 1980 and 1988, and their President from 1993 to 1998. In 2001, Graham was awarded an OBE in the Birthday Honours of that year, and in 2002, was elected President of B.A.N.S. After more than 40 years at the Royal Mint, Graham officially retired in 2003. However, he is still very much involved with cataloguing work at the Royal Mint Museum. Graham will be travelling long distance from his home in South Wales to be here tonight, so will you please give this prestigeous speaker the audience he deserves? Why not bring a guest or two along? Everyone will be most welcome.
